Cane pushed a hand through his hair, rolling the cigarette between his finger and thumb as he leant against the wall by the window of Starbucks, exhaling the smoke and breathing out slowly through his mouth. He'd agreed to meet Dee at Starbucks, he had no idea whether was in there waiting for him or not but either way, he'd decided to finish the cigarette first before she turned up or something. He doubted she'd like him smoking much and he didn't need another lecture where she mentioned God another five hundred and fifty seven times. He took another drag, allowing to fill up his lungs as he scowled ever so slightly. How long had they been going out?
He didn't even like to think about it.
He didn't date. It was one of the very few principles he held true to but it didn't end there.
As well as probably being Jesus' greatest fan, she was so oblivious to the world...and more importantly most things in it he really had no idea how she'd managed to grow up in this bubble of eternal blissful nativity. This alone would be fine, nativity mostly meant easy (well for at least for him), in this case she was so naive he couldn't even be sure that she even really understood exactly what it was he spent all that time hinting at.
He couldn't sleep with her. He couldn't even quite find it in him to break up...he'd even starting talking to God in his head himself. It was bad enough that he was dating (...not that it actually had a great deal of impact on his other...activities with other girls...), but the one thing that'd perhaps mean he could justify it to himself was severely lacking.
He let out a long breath before dropping the cigarette and grinding it before his shoe, leaning his head back before moving round and walking to the door of Starbucks, pushing it open and stepping inside, looking around the place for her. ooc notes: Haha he's such a prat xD

Woah, Mona Lisa, I'd pay to see you frown He senses something, call it desperation Another dollar, another day And if she had the proper words to say, ( She would tell him But she'd have nothing left to sell him ---------------- ) Dee drove up to the starbucks with a happy heart. Chris Tomlin played as she parked in the lot. While parking she peered into the coffee shop between two posters and saw Cane waiting for her. He was so handsome. She coudln't help but think that God had given her a guy to love that was way beyond her league. Devine intervention deffinately played a part in their getting together because there was no way she couldn've landed a guy like him on her own. Not only was he attractive but she really did have great conversations with him. She knew he wasn't perfect and he had a lot of habits that she didn't quite like because they weren't so morally brag worthy, but she was helping him break them and praying for him every day. She'd been noticing a change in him lately. He'd been more happy around her and a little more frustrated sometimes, but she figured it was just withdrawl from some of his vices.
She got out of the truck and smoothed down her clothes before walking in. It was nice and cool in the shop and it smelled like coffee and peppermint. She loved the way starbucks smelled. It wasn't late after school and Dee had made plans with Cane to hang out before she had to go to music practice. She would try to get him to go with her, because she thought if straight talk wasn't the way to lead him to God, then music must be. Music touches everyone, so it only made sense to Dee that it would touch her boyfriend too. She smiled and made her way toward Cane, who she thought looked happy to see her. As she neared closer, though, she noticed he smelled faintly of smoke, but he didn't smoke. It must've been the car. It's not the first time she'd smelled smoke on him, and he always told her the car was being weird and he had to see if he could fix it. He wouldn't lie to her, so she figured if it was anything, the car was the answer for the smell. It was mixed in with his regular smell. Cane smell.
She leaned down and gave him a quick kiss. She felt so comfortable with him. She was greatful that he knew she thought it was wrong to have sex before marriage and that he wouldn't ask her for that kind of stuff, because she'd put up resistance but probablly end up doing whatever he wanted. She loved him that much, and he was that amazing that she didn't doubt the fact that when it came to Cane she was pretty much powerless. From what she'd heard around town and around school, her boyfriend was no stranger to the female anatomy, and while she thought it was wrong, she didn't hold it against him. She knew he knew where the boundries were and respected him. He was so good to her, that it only made her love him that much more. "Hey, how was your day?" she asked with a sweet smile and sat down on the couch next to him. He made her so happy she couldn't help but smile.
