andrew is the type of guy that right after he graduated high school, he went straight into a job without even thinking about college. it's not that he wasn't interested in it, it's just that he didn't have the money to go and get that extra piece of paper. not only that, but his parents couldn't afford to send him to college either, but andy doesn't see a big problem with this. he's had a stable job for awhile that pays decently, so now, he's able to afford his own apartment. and just in time too, considering that his baby sister is now sixteen and pregnant and he doesn't want anything to do with that, because he knows the kid's older brother and has never gotten along with him, ever since middle school. that's one positive thing about andy, he knows when to walk away from an unnecessary fight when he needs to.
as he grew up, andy played all sorts of sports, football, baseball, lacrosse, ice hockey. although, during his senior year of high school, on a rainy friday night, the quarter-back on his football team threw him the ball and just as andy had caught it, one of the other team's players ran right into him on purpose, causing andy to slip in the mud unnaturally and causing andy's leg to break in three places, as well as sending his leg bone straight out of his skin. you could definitely say that this event caused andy to truly never be able to go to college, because he was an all around amazing athlete who was going to be riding on an athletic scholarship throughout college. after breaking his leg, he knew that he'd never be able to play football or any other harsh physical contact sport again, in fear of breaking his leg again.
the only two things that andy was able to take out of his high school experience were his diploma and his girlfriend. they seemed like they were the 'it' couple in high school, but there were real problems in the pair's relationship. he was the big jock that everyone knew and loved, who liked to party to hard on the weekends and she was the bitchy cheerleader that every one seemed to hate and only hate more when she dug her claws into andy. well, as soon as they had begun dating, things seemed to be, ... decent. although, in due time, toni ann found out that her jock boyfriend liked partying on the weekends, without her. and trust me, it wasn't that he was hiding it from her, since that's something that he always did on the weekends, but rather a nice getaway from the evil cheerleader girlfriend.
as time went on, the pair just seemed to deal with each other and soon started falling in love with each other. there is one big problem now though, toni ann wants to get married and have a baby, but andy knows damn well, they don't have enough money to get married with the type of wedding that he knows toni ann wants, nor be able to afford a baby. though, toni ann is from a hoity toity, gated community, type of family that is in love with andy for his good grades, athletic abilities and fabulous genetics. the only thing that they don't like about andy is that his scholarship isn't valid anymore because of his injury and that right there won't get him into college and into a profession to spoil their daughter with all the money that he would be making. soon enough, andy is going to have to make a decision about whether he's going to marry and have a baby with toni ann or go back to school and get a degree so that he'll be able to give toni ann the dream wedding and family that she's always wanted.
