How had this happened? Seriously, how in the world did all of this happen? Did someone up there hate her? Did they want to see her lose her freaking mind? Because she was getting pretty damn close. Had she done something wrong? Well… obviously she had, but was it really that bad that her entire life had to fall apart because of it? Maybe it was. She had conceived a child out of wedlock… out of any sort of relationship at all. Maybe the circumstances would have been different if she had been dating the guy that knocked her up, but they weren’t even on speaking terms at school. Hell, they weren’t even friends. She had fallen victim to Jasper Moretti and his charms. She had sworn that she wouldn’t, but she had.
Now here she was, pregnant and without a place to live. She and her mother had gotten in to an enormous fight and the woman who was supposed to be there for her through thick and thin kicked her out on her pregnant ass. What the hell was she supposed to do? Her friends were trying to support her, even though she wouldn’t tell them who the father was. She had promised Jasper that she wouldn’t tell anyone… and that included her best friends, at least in her mind that’s what it meant. So, last night when her and her mother got in to their huge argument, she had called Travis and he came and picked her up so that she could stay with him and he tried to tell her that it would all blow over. And it wasn’t but an hour ago that he brought her back home and her mom was packing her stuff up in boxes, telling her that she needed to find someplace else to live for now.
It hurt. It hurt like bloody hell and Travis told her that she could stay with him for as long as she needed. That was the plan, what Charlie had decided would e best for her until she could save up enough money for her own place. She had been picking up extra shifts at the restaurant in order to save money for the baby. She didn’t want to have to rely on Jasper solely. She appreciated that he wanted to help, but she wanted to know that she could do it on her own. Her own father had left her family, so who’s to say that Jasper wouldn’t live her and the baby whenever he felt like it. He wasn’t attached to them in anyway, other than being the father – but to guys these days that didn’t mean anything.
So, here she was standing outside of his house ready to tell him what was going on. She felt that since he was making an effort to try and better himself in a way, that she owed this to him. She had to tell him that she wouldn’t be living at home and that she would be staying with Travis and eventually she would have her own place… eventually. Clearing her throat, she lifted her hand to the door and knocked, stepping back slightly to wait for Jasper to answer the door. Glancing down at her stomach, she smoothed a hand over the small little pooch that was forming. Luckily, she had been wearing empire waist dresses and baby doll top’s that flowed loosely over her stomach, so no one had suspected anything… at least not yet.

Jasper had finally told his parents that they were going to be grandparents, and they didn't seem to take it rather, well. actually that was an understatement. they were above kicking him out, they knew that it would do no good for him.So, they let him stay in the finished basement, but he was not allowed to actually talk to his parents. his father moved all of things into the guest room, all of his cloths all of his other stuff was now in the guest room in the basement. Lovely right? his father even put a lock on the door to his old bedroom, so no one was going into that room. Jasper was sure that his father was going to turn that into the guest room. whatever. Jasper only came out of the basement to get Jaz to go to school or if he was leaving the house. Or for dinner, although, his parents wouldn't look at him anymore.
Alright, so he fucked up, at least he was owning up to his mistake. though, his father would not even tell him what to do. of course, his father had now lost all hope to his only son and now took much of a liking to his twin sister. They were the Moretti's only children, and that was all that mattered to his parents. Although, his parents had seemed to disown him almost completely. Maybe they would warm up to the idea, but then again, maybe they would not.
Sighing to himself, he sat in only a pair of boxers and shorts on the white couch in the basement. There was a pool table, an HD tv, and couch. though, it wasn't really the same now that it was all that he could look at. sure, any other kid would be happy to move into the basement, but to Jasper, it just wasn't right. He wanted his bedroom back, but his father would not let him anywhere near it. At least Jasper had sold all the weed to someone else before he told his parents about the baby. Otherwise he would have been kicked out on his ass.
Being the only one home, other then Jazz, who usually was in her room blaring music, Jasper walked up the stairs of the basement and into the kitchen, trying to find something to eat before someone realized that he was taking a lot of the food downstairs and putting into the closet. sure, it was nothing that needed to be refrigerated but still. Picking up a box of smores poptarts, he ripped the top open and took out a packet of them. he opened the packet and then bit into it. He was about to go back to the basement when he heard someone knock on the door. Debating on whether or not to go open it, he thought better and threw the box down the stairs and walked over to the door.
When he opened it, he had a poptart in his mouth, and looked almost completely dumbfounded when she showed up. Shit. He said he was going to go over for the that ultrasound picture last night, wasn't he? Yeah he was. He was going to say something but all that came out was an "Um.. hey" Well, now he just looked stupid. Standing there with a dumb look on his face, some blonde locks of hair sticking up in every sort of which way, and in shorts, with the top of his black and white checkered boxers sticking out of the top of his shorts. Of course, what teenage guy wore his pants correctly anyway? No one, so if you went out in the summer you saw a lot more of guys boxers then you really wanted to.

Why had she come here? This was a big mistake, a really big one. Just as big as telling him about being pregnant in the first place. No good had come of any of this. She really hoped that things would turn around for her, at least soon. She did not want to give birth to a baby that she resented. She was feeling a little animosity towards the unborn child, but that was due mostly to all of the things that had crumbled down around in the last few weeks. She just couldn’t seem to understand what she had done to deserve all of this in the first place. Charlotte Graham wasn’t a bad person. She had always been sweet and kind to everyone that she had met, even the assholes that bugged and harassed her. She never said anything extremely bad about anyone, and she never talked about anyone behind their back. Why her?
She couldn’t help but wonder if Jasper had been experiencing any of the same things she had been, though, she didn’t even know if he had told his parents yet. It wasn’t like they talked on a regular basis and when they did run in to each other, it was usually in the chatroom and that wasn’t exactly the safest place to talk about a pregnancy that was supposed to be a secret… at least the paternity of the pregnancy anyway. But the part of her that was a caring, considerate person, couldn’t help but wonder how he was cooping. How was this affecting him. Maybe… just maybe she’d be able to get him to open up to her a little bit – at least eventually. She didn’t except him to just come out and tell her every little thing that was going on with him, but she did think it’d be nice.
Charlie wasn’t looking for some sort of romantic relationship with Jasper, more platonic. She felt that if he wanted to be a part of the baby’s life then they had to at least be on okay terms, right? She had to get to know him, she couldn’t very well leave her child in the care of a complete stranger, even if that complete stranger was the baby’s father. She just didn’t feel that was right. She felt like it would be weird. When the baby got older how would they explain their lack of relationship, the lack of communication or knowledge between the two? Oh, your father was just some guy that I got drunk with one night and slept with. No big deal. Yeah, Charlie didn’t see that conversation going over too well in real life, just like it didn’t flow very well in her head. Of course, she had time for that conversation, but that didn’t mean she didn’t want to try and establish something with Jasper. A friendship, even if it was awkward and would have to be kept a secret to save his precious reputation.
Rolling her eyes slightly at the last thought, she waited for him to answer the door. Tapping her fingers on her leg, she thought about just turning around and walking away but the second the thought hit her, the door swung open. Staring back at her was Jasper Moretti with half a poptart hanging out of his mouth. Blinking a few times,s he shook her head, Hey… She swallowed hard and brushed her fingers through her hair. Sorry for, uh, just showing up out of nowhere… I just… Charlie could feel her nerves getting the best of her. Wringing her hands out, she looked up to meet his dark blue eyes, I just needed to talk to you about something… it won’t take long… She looked back down and tried to calm her nerves, hoping that he wouldn’t mind her just showing up like this.
