YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP Late to lunch, because she had to stop by her locker to get her lunch, the dark haired senior looked lost as hell in the large cafe. She could have gone out for lunch, but she didn't want to, besides lunch was half over anyways. it wasn't like Irina had a lot of friends anyway, and she usually just went out for lunch, to avoid these situations. She was never good with people. She always just sat in the back by herself and did everything she was suppose to. The poor brown and purple haired girl looked so lost. She didn't have anyone to sit with at lunch, as she didn't actually have friends. Oh no. Irina was just that girl who was left under everyone's radar, as if she didn't actually exist. She was fine with that though, she didn't actually like to be noticed.
Actually, poor Irina was terrified of people. She always seemed to just get picked on, and she was that girl who people looked down upon, for the pure fact that they could. Pushing her bangs out of her face, she looked more terrified then ever. She never actually sat in the cafe for lunch the whole year, and now she had to. She didn't see anyone who would actually even notice the poor girl. She looked around again, clutching her brown paper bag lunch, she moved to an empty table in the corner of the large room. Yeah, this would have to work. Pulling on her purple strands of hair, Irina put her head down and sat on her feet, looking very content in the back corner were no one would actually notice her. She had what, two friends in the whole school? If you wanted to count Ash as friend. They almost never talked, but they kept each other company sometimes. Even if he was older then her, and still a junior. Then there was Dakoda, god she loved him. Sure, he was gay, but that never made a difference to her.
Dakoda was so nice to her, it was different from what every other boy, except Ash, was to her. They always just pulled her hair, make snarky comments about her behind her back, even though they were probably fully aware that she was right in front of them. That never stopped anyone from making fun of her. it was so much more of no one gave the poor girl a chance to show that she was really a sweet girl once you got past the very quiet, very shy part. she was very sweet to Ash, even though he really never bothered her, or asked anything of her. She liked Ash, he was a sweetheart. Okay, so maybe Irina really needed to get out more, and be friends with more then two people..
Okay, she really needed to get out more.

Lunch time was probably Dakoda's favorite time of the day when it came to going to school. He flat out did not like school, but he always, always did his best no matter what. Sure, he didn't get straight A's, but B's and C's were good enough for him. He basically took care of himself anyway. After leaving class, he walked down the hall as quickly as possible and found his locker. He unlocked it and shoved all his books in there before skipping off to the cafeteria. Food sounded extremely good right now, as well as a little social interaction.
Koda rushed to the line and grabbed a tray. Lines were a big pain in the ass. Sometimes he wondered if he should just leave campus to get lunch, or bring his own lunch.. but he never liked the idea of food he was going to eat sitting in his locker for half the day. Once he finally got his food (which consisted of a slice of pizza, a drink, and an apple), he looked around the cafeteria. Feeling spontaneous, he sat down at a random table with random people and greeted them with a hearty hello. They seemed friendly enough, considering they responded, but also seemed weirded out by the fact he just sat there without a care in the world.
After a few minutes of eating, Dakoda decided to sit there and text someone. When he looked up, he noticed a familiar girl walking across the cafeteria toward a lonely looking corner. He stuck his phone into his pocket and stood up after grabbing his tray. With a huge grin plastered across his face, he walked merrily over to the table where little miss Irina was sitting. Koda came up behind her and set his tray down quickly beside her on the table, but before she could react, he wrapped his arms around her in a hug-sorta-thing and said, "Hello there, beautiful girl!" As gay as he was, he knew a beautiful girl when he saw one, and Irina was definitely beautiful, both inside and out. Laughing quietly, he let go of her and sat down beside her. "Why are you all by yourself?" he asked as he nudged her shoulder gently while taking a bite of his apple.

YOU WOULD NOT BELIEVE YOUR EYESif ten million fireflies lit upTHE WORLD AS I FELL ASLEEP In retrospect, irina was probably very happy alone. Sure, she didn't exactly look it, but she was. Most people would hate to be all alone all the time. But being alone all the time had its advantages. She didn't have to worry about people, whether they where her friend or not. She didn't have to worry about hurting a friend, or forgetting a birthday. She also had all the time in the world to think. No one at home bothered her either. She sat in her room on her computer just doing stuff that she was quite happy with. Sure, she liked to keep a blog and stuff like that full of pictures that she loved, but that was really about all she did. She was happy like that though. So why try and change that? Sure, friends were nice, but being alone was nice too. She really liked being by herself. She really did. Even though people just thought that she was weird for even remotely liking being alone.
Sitting alone at the table, she opened up her brown paper bag with her lunch in it. it really wasn't much, just a simple peanut butter and jelly, raspberry jelly, sandwich with some pudding and a Dr. Pepper. Really simply, but that was how Irina was. She was never complicated, she was just really, simple once you got down to it. The way she dressed was simple, the way she acted, everything was very simple. Very little color, very little changes, very plain and simple. but hell, she wasn't complaining. She truly liked how simple her life was. it was the same thing every day, barely any changes to it. It made her life simple and easy. And she liked that, for the most part that is. Sure, she got bored of her life every once in a while, but she would rather be bored out of her mind then have way to many things to do at once. She felt bad for who ever had fifty billion things to do at once. It just seemed way to complicated for her, and she would probably break down and cry. Irina was a very soft girl, and was hurt very easily, not to mention overwhelmed rather quickly.
Irina was also extremely oblvious at times. and this was one of those times. She never noticed Koda walking up behind her until it was to late. he set his lunch down next to hers and sort of one-arm-hugged her. Sure, those were the shittiest of hugs, but it still scared the crap out of her. She squeaked and nearly jumped out of her skin. "D-Dakoda!'' She squeaked, her face turning a slight rose pink color. She didn't like that he did that to her, sure he was her best friend, but sometimes that just freaked her right out. She looked at him, almost horrified when he let go of her. "W-What was t-that for?'' she asked before he asked her why she was sitting alone. Did he not know her at all? She always sat by herself even when people were suppose to be working in groups. she always ended up by herself. "I-I always sit by myself" she said quietly, looking down at her rather plain sandwich.

Ah, Irina. She was different than most girls Dakoda has come across. She was quiet, reserved, and would rather isolate herself than be surrounded by people she hardly knew. They were almost opposites, but still had some similarities. He couldn't help but smile as he noticed her cheeks turned a bit pink. He always forgot how she was. Hugging her from behind was a no-no, but he always loved surprising his friends.
"Aw, I'm sorry, Irina," he said, "I didn't mean to scare you. It was just a hug." Dakoda looked at her and pouted as he set his apple down. He leaned into her gently and smiled. Her stuttering was so cute, he would never get over that. When she told him she always sat by herself, he gasped softly and looked at her. "Well! I guess I will have to sit with you then from now on," he said with a grin. "I'll meet you at your locker every day!" Nodding his head, he picked his apple up again and bit it carefully.
Dakoda looked around for a bit, thinking about Irina for the most part. He wanted to pull her out of her shell somehow, but he wasn't sure how to go about doing that. It was hard to change how a person was; he was pretty sure she was just naturally like that. "What are you doing after school?" he asked, smiling at her. He wanted to take her somewhere, maybe the park, or the beach, and just have a little fun. She deserved something like that.
