You know that saying where one twin gets all the good looks and the other well, the other doesn't? This plot is something like that except it's more of an opposing personality type deal for Amos and his fraternal twin. Amos is naive about everything and always needs to be protected by his brother, it kind of became his twin's duty when their mother died from lung cancer when they were only six. amos cried and his twin, for now i'll say elijah, had to grow up for the both of them. he became Amos's protector for everything and Amos trusted him, believing Eli's word to be law.
As they grew up, Elijah's protectiveness turned a tad sour, and he grew up to have some anger issues which although they do not show to Amos at their greatest extent most other people see it at some point. Where Amos is too trusting, Eli's the opposite, watching everyone with a weary eye, everyone except for Amos. Though, it's a wonder Amos can trust his brother since he goes out and parties a lot and is known as a bit of a player among the girls. The reason Amos doesn't feel need not to trust him? He doesn't even realize his brother parties at all, he's too oblivious and would believe any excuse Eli gave when he went out some where, even if he said he was going to marry the president's daughter.
Other things about their brothership?
Amos trust's his brother like there is no tomorrow and believes him and so his word is basically the law for Amos. When Amos told his twin that he didn't understand why he hadn't felt like he ever like liked a girl, his twin came up with a reason so that Amos wouldn't fret. Maybe Amos happened to be asexual, from that point onward he followed this idea.
The thing is, later on Amos will learn that this isn't necessarily true, he's actually gay, but he doesn't realise it nor would he want to because your twin doesn't exactly like gay guys. In fact, Eli might just be slightly homophobic covering it with anger towards anyone he thinks may in fact be gay.

There isn't much to this character's personality other than he needs to be able to butt heads with 'Eli' while taking a fondness towards Amos. Basically he has to be someone who can get Amos to come out of his naive little shell and do things he'd never have been able to do if he just kept following everything Eli says. So I guess this guy is kind of Amos's key to being his own person per say? I'm also thinking maybe they are a possible love interest since that could drive Eli nuts if Amos told him he was gay and moreover it was because of the one person Amos had seemed to be getting closer to than Eli.
I have no particular play by for this guy, though I'd like to know who you'd want. A few people I like are Luke Worrall, Luke Nugget, Ash Stymest, and plenty of others if you can't think of one yourself. This guy could be like a character already made or someone specifically made for the plot he just has to be a friend to Amos and a hater to his twin~
